New Functionality Added – Send Bulk Email

MARKHAM, ON - September 18, 2010 - Have you ever made changes to the training programs for a specific subset of your users and wanted an easy way to let them know about it? Now you can do just that, with the new Send Email function for admins.

Available under the Tools menu, this new feature allows you to send a message to any group of users in your environment, including:

Select the group(s) you want to send mail to, and click the Send link. You'll see a confirmation window that shows the individuals who will receive the message. (To receive the message, users must have an email address entered and Send Notifications turned on in their profile). Once you confirm, the message will be sent.

Note: The categories serve as "and" filters, not "or". So, if you choose, for example, the Managers role and the Head Office location, the message will go only to managers at the head office location (as opposed to sending to all managers and everyone at the Head Office). This type of filtering allows for very precise filtering of address lists.
