“Practical Vehicle Inspections” Goes Online With CarriersEdge

May 13, 2008 – MARKHAM, ON – CarriersEdge, the leading provider of online driver improvement programs, and Techni-Com Inc., a leading producer of commercial vehicle safety and compliance materials, today announced a partnership that will see the Practical… series of driver handbooks added to the CarriersEdge driver development system.

Techni-Com produces the popular Practical… series of handbooks and training materials, including Practical Vehicle Inspection, Practical Cargo Securement, and Practical Air Brakes, currently sold through the provincial trucking associations and the CVSA.

Under terms of the deal, CarriersEdge will develop online training programs based on the Practical… series and offer them to its fleet, school, and owner-operator customers. Techni-Com customers will be able to purchase the programs directly, through existing channels. CarriersEdge will also resell the Practical… handbooks through the CarriersEdge system.

Practical Vehicle Inspection will be the first program developed, with a release date scheduled for June 2008.
